Over the same period 2014, there was a slight improvement.

The household savings rate in the eurozone was 12.8% in the first quarter of 2015, stabilizing in the last quarter of last year. In relation to the same quarter 2014, there was a slight improvement from 12.7%.

Also the investment rate has stabilized in the previous three months, between January and March 2015, at 8.2%, according to data released Monday by Eurostat. Compared to the same quarter of 2014, this rate has worsened, since it was at 8.4%.

The corporate investment rate also stabilized in the euro area in the first quarter of this year, in 21.8%, the same value of the previous three months, improving slightly compared to 21.7% the same quarter of 2014.
