Banking encouraging new signs the housing market. Growth trend observed in the previous month and compared with last year.
Banks returned to raise the average assessment of housing in the country. After a slight monthly decline recorded in August, September brought a positive chain variation that joined the growth compared to the same month in 2014.
INE data reveal an increase of 0.3% from the previous month corresponding to over 3 euros per m2. The average bank evaluation of national houses now stands at 1,039 euros per m2, an increase of 1% compared to September last year.
The Lisbon region had the highest contribution to the annual change, while Madeira, Alentejo and Algarve were decisive in increase compared to August.
The numbers give again signs of market recovery in housing, which is visible in the annual variations since February this year.
