Lack qualified workers in areas with more jobs

Lack of dialogue between employers and educational institutions is “brake on the dynamism of the Portuguese labor market.”
According to a study by Hays, consultant in human resources, in Portugal there is a lack of “dialogue between educational institutions and employers.”
Consequently, more and more qualified people to areas with few jobs, while other areas such as tourism, information technology and engineering associated with the industry, can not find enough professionals with qualifications to meet their needs.
The report, conducted in partnership with Oxford Economics, realize that Portugal is among the countries with the largest adjustment problems between workers’ skills and company needs, says the public.
For the regional director of Hays, Carlos Maia, this problem “continues to be the major brake on the dynamism of the Portuguese labor market.”
