Right now, nearly 3,000 Portuguese are comparing prices online, a number that promises to increase as the holiday season approaches. Mobile phones, tablets and laptops are among the most sought after and compared.

The data comes from KuantoKusta, calculated based on the use of that online comparator, and reveal that the last three weeks, the number of visits to the platform increased by 25% over the same period.

This translates into about 65,000 users a day, who spend on average about three and a half minutes to compare prices.

Among the most popular items are technological products, researched for about 75% of the total number of visitors the past three weeks.

The Computer category is the most visited, especially tablets, laptops and monitors, followed by the Appliances and Mobile Phones.

But when only analyzed the number of clicks per product, mobile phones are clearly the most popular. See what the most searched models:

The ranking of most viewed products is completed with the game console Playstation 4.

The category Sound & Vision comes in fourth place in the ranking of research, especially the LED-LCD TVs, cameras and lenses machines. Only in fifth place in the ranking come the non-technological products. Man and woman perfumes, men’s footwear and watches osão the most searched products in these categories.

It is recalled that, according to the latest data from ACEPI, about a quarter of the population in Portugal purchase online, a figure that has doubled in the last five years reaching the highest number ever – 2.7 million Portuguese.

Only in 2014 were traded around EUR 2.9 billion in e-commerce, a number that could be overtaken this year, reinforced with Christmas shopping.
