Employment services of the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP) recorded a rise in the number of new registrations of unemployed in November, which came to 64,695, an increase of 3% compared with November 2014, according to statistics released by the Employment and Vocational Training Institute (IEFP).

In monthly terms, the IEFP realize a decrease of 7.8% in new registrations over October.

The level of registered unemployment, the IEFP data indicate that there were 550 250 people registered without work, representing a decrease of 8% year on year and an increase of 1.5% from the previous month.

“At the regional level, and compared to the same month in 2014, unemployment decreased in all regions of the country except the Autonomous Region of Madeira, where the trend was opposite in sign (+ 2.9%).
