Portugal is the cheapest country in Western Europe, writes British newspaper.

Portugal is the country’s cheapest Western Europe eurozone, with 100 euros in Germany to be worth about 122 euros in Lisbon, writes “The Guardian” in an article on the price differences within the single currency countries based on Eurostat data.

“Welcome to the eurozone, where the coins and the notes are the same, but the prices are very different,” says the British newspaper. The 19 countries share a currency, but not the same prices of goods and services. The cost of living and purchasing power vary greatly in each of the member states, says “The Guardian”.

Ie 100 euros are not 100 euros in the 19 eurozone countries. Not worth the same in all of them – Its value varies from country to country. Germany and Italy are the countries of the euro that are closer to the European average, 100 euros to 100 euros avail in Germany and 99 in Italy.
