They are the outcome of CGD, BCP and BPI in the first half of the year. Together, the three institutions profited 363.9 million euros from January to June.

All in all, the three banks profited together an average of 2 million euros a day.

The BCP recorded a net profit of 240.7 million, compared with a loss of 62.2 million euros recorded in the same period of 2014. The accounts of the institution led by Nuno Amado benefit of 385.5 million euros earnings in the first six months of 2015 thanks to the sale of Portuguese public debt securities.

Also the state bank benefited from the sale of domestic debt securities. CGD earned EUR 47 million this year. This value can be compared with the amount of 2014 two distinct forms. On the one hand, it represents a decline from the 110 million euros last year’s gains thanks to the fitting from the sale of Loyalty.

Second, whether the extraordinary gain from the sale of the insurance is not counted, CGD went from losses in 2014 to profits in 2015.

But the BPI reported a profit of 76.2 million euros, of which only 6.6 million result from the activity in Portugal. The contribution of Angola amounts to 90%.
