Entrepreneurs are receiving letters asking them to pay debts that are on behalf of firms. Even if they no longer have anything do with these companies.

A letter from Social Security that reached thousands of managers and owners of the companies in the last days is to let entrepreneurs frightened. The Pension is asking that the managers themselves to take over the payment of debts which are on behalf of the firm, even if they are no longer connected to the company in question. The Order of Chartered Accountants (OTOC) received complaints and calls for people not to pay, considering this illegal procedure.

In the letter, at which the SOL had access, the Financial Management Institute of Social Security notifies taxpayers by debts on behalf of the company, proposing that are themselves asking what in tax terms is called reversal: take with individual heritage one debt that is the company. “If you want to make the cash payment of this debt, benefiting from the exemption of interest and costs within 30 days after the citation or proceed to the installment payment of the debt, the rollback requirement in Annex should send completed”, reads the document.
